When: This Sunday, September 21, 2003 Time: 1:00PM Where: Krispy Kreme - 5300 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA
We had a great turnout last time, with 11 cars and 15 owners! I hope we can do better this time. We should because we have made contact with a lot of new people since then.
After we partake of the sweet treats we can go someone for a drive or down to my house for some sort of tech session/chat.
Pass the word! Anyone who needs info or directions, contact me. Hope to see you there.
I won't be able to make the RFTHs this year, Steve. Maybe ya'll should cancel it since you know it won't be any fun without me! Who'll be able to take home to 50/50 if I'm not there?

That's Orville's car... It's not a kit. It's a totally custom car, designed and built by Orville... Right down to the LS1 Trans Am engine...
Come on up! Fieros are optional! We had about 3 guys last time whose cars were in the shop. This is a time for Fiero lovers to get together and meet other Fiero owners. It's not all about the cars.

Hey, Songman, we had our meeting tonight, and thought November 8-9 would be good for Cambria.
Sounds good.. I wouldn't mind spending my birthday in Cambria!
Any of your Northern guys wanna trek to Bakersfield for the weekend?
Curly was here last night and he is going to try to come on Sunday. The choptop is all taken apart getting stuff chromed and stuff but he is going to try to get enough of the custom bodywork done on his other car to bring it by.
Maybe Orville will have his 3800SC choptop coupe ready to bring out!

I'm gonna change that post above... It is the Run For The Hills back in Tennessee that I can't make. I'll be at Krispy Kreme on Sunday! After we do whatever we do that day, every is invited over to my house. We want to park Fieros all the way around the cul de sac just to pi$$ off the witch neighbor across the street that had my cars impounded! haha

OK, we'll make it official. I'll announce that date, maybe you can contact the place you know where we are staying. Please let me know the name of the motel, rate, phone #. I'll have people call and make their own reservation. Also, I'll start a new topic for this when we have all the info.

I won't be able to make it, I have to work this Saturday. I might be able to get a group together for that Pontiac show in Long Beach. You Bakersfield guys going to that?

If I go to Long Beach it will probably be just as a spectator. Even though my car is clean, stock just don't draw attention all that much. Whenever I get one of my other cars all German'd up, then I'll start entering shows!

Just went over to Dick's house this morning and he has the Cosworth all mounted in his 88 GT! He's trying to finish the wiring and hopes to be able to bring it on Sunday... I'm going to Orville's in a bit to check on the choptop coupe...
We really have some nice custom Fieros in this area!

I wouldn't be so quick to say that a stock Fiero doesn't gather much attention.....with all the customization people have been doing (and some definately improves the appearance), there are still those of us who welcome a nice clean stock car as a pleasant change of pace over body mods.

Went by Orville's yesterday. His choptop notchback will not be ready... It's looking good but he doesn't have the front end design finished yet. He will be bringing the LS1 though!

I'll have to talk to Alicia, as there is a possibility that I will bring her and the little one down. I wish that I was able to being the GT, but she's still sitting on stands as there is this little thing called Calc & Horizontal Curve Staking that keeps getting into my way when I’m looking to do something that I actually ENJOY.
I guess that it's time to "gussy up" the Trans Am and see about getting her to look purdy for the event.
Ill post later if I'm able to drop by. Is there a way that one can get directions to this event, as I'm not too sure how to get there, if I happen not to follow Rick out...

The Sonic is only two blocks from my house so she'll get to go there sometime during the day!

Just come South on 99 and look for the Stockdale Hwy Exit. Take a right at the end of the exit. Krisy Kreme will be down on the right hand side. If you find yourself in front of the Krisy Kreme before you notice it, take a right on California Avenue and turn in on the back side.

Fantastic! Glad you are going to be able to make it, Stimpy! I'm looking for a good afternoon drive for us to take. Something fun without having to go too far... It'll be a surprise when you all get here!

I will be there in the Fiero. Ordered the core today and should arrive at the store sometime tomorrow. Definately looking forward to meeting new people and seeing everyone I met from the last meet.
BTW, Dale, I tried to get "Patti" from Kragen to come in her '87, but she didn't express much interest, and did mention something about selling it sometime soon. Just hope it goes to a good home.

Lisha, the baby (sadly enough not the GT) and myself will be there. I talked to Rick, and it looks like we are going to follow another there... Thats if the "Persian Fiero" can keep up w/ the TA!
Last one to Bakersfield buys Sonic strawberry milkshakes for all!

I'm going to try and get my other car out of the shop(their half way finished)if not I will show-up in a import!!!! Yeah, I know, I got laughted at from Trainman. BTW Trainman is comming also-Songman. He didn't know about it until I came by. I guess there is 8001 members but, only a few actually have time to view PFF on a regular bases. (I should know I'm one of them).

Hey Songman, you may need to tempt other PFF members into comming by offering a 2-for-1 donut special. Btw, they didn't impound your cars on the street?

I think KK does offer a free sample when you walk in so in effect, that is 2 for 1!
Yeah... the neighbor had my cars impounded, so as many people as want to come over that evening for a while.. I'd love to fill the whole cul de sac up with Fieros just to spite her! haha
Is it still only eleven showing-up? Did you mentioned about the other restuarants there? Example; Outback Steak house, In & out's, Burger King, Jamba Juice, Micky D's, Pizza Hut, and Hooter's Restuarant?

Add another Fiero to the list. My dad is swinging out to Salinas to pick me up and will be bringing his SC3800 86 GT. Unfortunately, Barbara will have to wait for her Sonic fix...
