I may have a good reason to pop into Bakersfield in a few weeks! (Keeping fingers crossed for good luck!)

If all works out well, we may need to organize a Central Coast cruise. There are so many great Fiero roads around here...

Yeah, I live between Fresno and Bakersfield In a little town called Hanford. It's great to see more Fiero owners around here, we will have to have another get together, Songman had one recently in Bakersfield. Can't wait for another one. Mcaanda is from here too!

We'll be having another Fiero gathering in Bakersfield soon. And we are planning a central coast cruise/show before long too. Details will be forthcoming...

I've been seeing quite a few more Formulas pop up around Bakersfield lately.. but never when I am in any of my Fieros! I have seen a red Formula, a white Formula, and a couple of 87-88 coupes with tails lately.

Drop me a note and let me know what part of town you live in. I'm down by Cal State...

Songman, let's work on that central coast thing. Our meeting (Golden Gate) is this Tuesday, so that's probably too early to get it worked out, but let's try to do something about it soon. I'd also like to use the trip to evaluate potential sites for next summer's car show.

I have two 88 Fiero GT's parked at my parents shop near Pixley (no I won't leave the address ;-). I live in San Francisco, but it is a little easier to work on them down there. I am in the process of moving some interior upgrades from my old 88 GT (which was in a minor accident - front bumper damage) to my new 88 GT (T-Top, 3.4L, etc. -- and soon to have 4th Generation Firebird dash) The "old" 88 GT will then soon be for sale.

reply: Any fiero owners around the Bakersfield or Fresno area?

Sure there is, but there hard too find! At least in Bakersfield. They come out only when Songman sings, he,he. Maybe they will have a semi-meet before the weather changes.

Like Rickady mentioned we had a gathering a couple months ago. Quite a turn out IMO. Had about 11 or so cars which wasn't bad for a "spur of the moment" event. Definately looking forward to attending another. Have to finish putting my POS together. Have the heater box all apart to replace a leaking heater core so just have to hold tight while I get the funds and order a new one.

As for John's maroon "ferrario", very nice car. Looks like quite a bit of attention to detail went into the project.

In the meantime, while we're waiting to hear some info about a central coast gathering, any thoughts about having another here in town? Now that the weather is starting to cool a bit it should be quite nice.

Nope... You'll just have to come up here!I've been to your place. Now it's your turn to come to mine!

If anyone wants to do an impromptu meet again, I'm up for it. Last time we did it during the week. Some said a weekend would be better. We have plans on Saturday.. How about this Sunday? Anyone wanna come over? We can meet at the Krispy Kreme on Stockdale and maybe go for a drive after we fill up on good hot donuts!

Sorry Rickady88GT got-a work this weekend in the Bay area, but I'm leaving today to check in on the "red pill." The silver choptop is getting the interior fiberglass/chrome parts and other money-pit adventures done. Its funny..I drove the silver choptop everywhere to OK, TX, and CA and didn't see not (1) fiero. However, I could drive the other Fiero in town if you guys are having a quick-impromto...maybe Wednesday?

How 'bout sometime in the early afternoon, that way we could still get home soon enough to make sure the kids get to bed at a decent time. Anybody else got a time in mind?

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD INSERT THIS SMALL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL YOU SAN BERNARDINO FOLKS: Heh! Heh!

On October 3-5, 2003 there is going to be held a Pontiac/ Oakland/GMC Western Regional, auto show in Long Beach, CA. It is being Sponsored by the Southern California Chapter of POCI and its site is going to be at the Long Beach Mariott Hotel. For more information, contact: Chuck Abbott 949-362-1477; e-mail: [Chasroy@cox.net], or visit: SCC POCI's website at: http://www.clubs.hemmings.com/sccpoci
...to download registration materials. Now all they accept is pre-registrations (Unless you want to pay a hefty fee on the day of show) so make sure all you Fiero owners out there download your applications and mail them postmarked before Sept. 18th!!!!

Furthermore, one of our esteemed "Fiero's West" club members- Chris Sideris- of "Chromed out Yellow 88GT fame" is celebrating his 3?'s B-Day on that same day and has extended his invitation to all Fiero owners to attend a BBQ/get-together at his home approx. 2 blocks away from the Marriot Hotel in Long-Beach

His address is: 2420 Pepperwood Ave., Long Beach CA 90815

We plan on meeting at his place @ 8AM in the morning of the show (SATURDAY OCTOBER 4th) so we can make a grand entry onto the showfield by 8:30AM and leave after the show for some Margaritas and Chow, and later on (about 8pm) return to the Marriot Hotel to attend the trophy ceremony.
The original cut-off date to pre-register car's was on 9/5/03 but since one of the organizers is also a Proud Fiero Owner, he has somehow managed to extend pre-registrations for us until the 18th of September ....So lets make a great showing and depending on at least 8 entries or more, POCI has agreed to have two seperate classes for Fiero's i.e. STOCK and MODIFIED. If anyone has any further questions also feel free to contact me @ (310) 686-0956 or e-mail[Tessemaf@msn.com]

Great to hear that you can make it over from Paso, Dave! I always hate having the only black T-top GT at a gathering! haha

Neil, look forward to seeing you again!

Tes, you can post stuff in my threads anytime... as long as you bring yourself up here on Thursday!

Blake, Rick, everyone else... I believe this one is going to be bigger than the last one! Everyone start following Fieros that you pass on the street and give them the info...

All you WCF boys can't say you don't know about this one! I expect to see you all!

Hey, Songman, you guys should form an informal club, at least let people know a contact person in your area. You could make up cards like this, and leave them on a Fiero when you see one parked:

On the back of the card, I have info on the Fiero Store, Rodney Dickman, Pennock's, etc.
