Well I took the plunge today and bought my wheels for my Fiero. They are pictured here on my parts car so It looks a little high off the ground after jacking it up and the suspension not settling. On my car they will have a lot less wheel gap thanks to 2" lowering springs. The wheels are 18x7.5" with a 42mm offset. The front tyres I have gone with 215x35x18 on the front and 225x35x18 on the back. I could have went with wider tyres but they just looked right for the car. I know everyone will ask what brand and how much. They are actually wheels specially made for Tempe Tyres in Sydney Australia. The model is C5. The tyres are Falken tyres which are pretty good. I had them on my MR2 after Pirellis wore out and there wasn't a lot of difference. I got them for $1,800 AU which is about $1,175 US. Anyway enough babble, on to the pics.
Wow Aus I really dont think those little white Squares would do well as wheels. I do like the red X in the middle thought oh wait there showing up now lol

I think I would go with 50s and not 40s as far as tires but I want a little sidewall on them helps with grip a little when the sidewall is allowed to Give a little will cause it to grip a little more. I would hate to see what those tires would cost as I would burn them off in about 2 months with my 2M4. If I had a GT they would last me about 2 weeks. I drive hard.

Actually they are 35 series tyres as I wasn't sure how much room I had to place with. Now I know they fit well I am going to use 45 series tyres next time around. I kinda wish I had coil overs on the rear. With them there would be room for 20" rears and 19" fronts.
Actually I think I will take them back tomorrow and get 45 series tyres fitted. I checked them with my tyre calculator and the overall diametre is too small. I hope they will change tyres. I think they will because they are a pretty good high volume no hassle tyre store.
Rims looks very nice. To be honest depending on your tire width a 45 height may be too tall and look bad. Look at my yellow car below. I'm using 225-40-18 in front and 245-40-18 rear. The frt is a little narrower and the rear a little wider than rims. A 235 would be in between. I wouldn't have anything higher or lower but that's just me.

What size are your rims? Width I mean.

Nice wheels, Aus. I've seen some very similar looking wheels on a Fiero before. Can't seem to remember who had them, though. And I agree you should step up to a 40, instead of the 35. I think 45 will be too tall. That's what a lot of guys are using (45) on 17s with the same widths that you're using. Oh yeah, Falken's are fairly popular over here also. I've actually got a set on my Fiero, and like them a lot

i have the same size tires all around. 225/35R18's and if i did it again i would have 240/40R18's on the rear and the same on the front. I believe that my rims are 8 inches wide..
You Aussie's have it made, thats why I wanted to move to Australia. There's a woman there that is practicly in love with me. I mean hell, look at your driveway, its TILED! My driveway has dirt and gravel in it!

Well I got new tyres 235 and 225s this time. Both 40 series, They just fit. Cant even get my little finger between the strut tower spring perch and the tyre.
Sweet rims, I've asked this question before, and I'm still thinking of becomming an aussie, why are left hand drive cars illegal over there? Why is it mandatory they have to be right hand? I mean they should give slack to the imported American Cars.

Well to answer a few questions. Alex's wheels are the same width as mine. 7.5" In Australia the laws vary state to state on American cars. In NSW you can only drive a LHD car if it is over 30 years old. ALl others have to be converted to RHD. Older cars are considered classics. Go figure. The driveway isn't tiled, it is stencilled concrete. Stencilling concrete is pretty popular here and yes it is clean. Wife would kill me if it wasn't
