Well instead of taking my word on it here is the article.

At the very least on a honda civic 17" tires WILL CONSISTANTLY turn BETTER lap times than smaller wheels.

Hey george, make it a cup of coffee and a set of Victoracers in 205/60/15 and 225/60/15 and 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 and you'll have a deal

I'll even pay for the mount/balance, the entry fee to the track ;P)

Frankly, I'd be intrested to see what happens myself.

i JUST yesterday had mine on a scale for shipping... 17s 47#s (the pair) and the 18s, are 68#s (pair)

That table says my rims weigh 23lbs. Then I must have 32lb tires
