this is great, looking forward to seeing it some day!

I'm hoping to make a road trip from Maryland to Florida at some point, perhaps at the end of the summer, and maybe I can take a couple hour detour to Calera. I'd love to see this thing in preson.

I don't know what'd happen, but it'd be fun.

Hey Guy,
I see I have had some recent kicks in the butt to post more pics and progress update. Well I'm still at it but money has gotten tight since my pay was cut at work, but thats better than the alternative of 100% paycut, but not by much. So I haven't been able to by more supplies of resin and cloth. In the mean time I have been working on trying to put some of the car back together to see har far off the body panels have gotten since adding glass to them. I guess the cardboard had mor flex than the fiberglass because i cant get the back bumper on at all its getting caught uo on something and its such a tight fit i can see where the problem is I have ripped almost all the structure out of the bumber but still wont go on. I may have to start cutting the bumper if i can figure it out soon. I am seeing that the glass has altered my body panels but I expected this and tried to adjust for this when making the parts by leaving the gaps wide hoping to be able to end up with 1/4" gaps all around and the hood and front have some serious alignment issues and a huge gap between hood and frnt bumper. I know this info is useless without pictures which i will post later tonight I'm at work typing this because it was on my mind and I saw that some of you guys had given me a couple of bumps. I'm glad your still watching and I hope to be able to show you guys the car put back together soon. It will still be far from done but it will give you/me a good idea of what the car is going to look like when finished and if it was worth all the time, effort and money!

Well Calera will be more than a couple hours detour depending on what part of Florida you are going to..lol. Good news is I'm right off of I65 and it will take you straight down to Florida and I10, but I would welcome anybody to stop in and check out my project and give any advice, tips or suggestions. Just let me know ahead of time to make sure I'll be at home, I would not want you going hours out of your way just to find me gone.
I still plan on going to Ga. to see Dean (Whodeanie) and take a couple of body panels so he can show me the proper way to sand, bondo and prime my parts to get then ready for paint. Dont know when that will be I'm hoping business picks up soon so I can get my salary back up. If anyone knows of any church, medical, commercial or educational architectural projects let me know.

If you want to come by while you're up I'll put you to work laying up a part in a mold - for experience, of course.
I'm near Commerce.

Wow, this looks alot like that Lizardo re-body that fiero fiberglass is attempting to sell.
Kudos though I like your "fastback" design better, being straighter as compared to the lizardo's curving "fastback"

And here is the "prototype" finished product. (a second one is being assembled in that exact same place for the 2011 daytona show)

Hey, I just wanted to shoot everyone a message to say thanks for keeping up with my build and to let you know the build is NOT dead. The economy and my recent addition to the family have cause me to put the project on hold for a minute. Im still doing little tweeks but nothing major. The biggest factor is that my son who is now one has has severe food and environmental allergies.
It took us over 9 months to figure out what the problem was and why he was not eating and his skin was breaking out with a severe rash. So as yon can guess the dust and fibers created by working with fiberglass is a no-no around my son. Hopefully he will out grow most of these allegies and I hope to crank things back up soon. Thanks for checking in and once again this build IS still going on, life just threw me a little curve ball.
