Quickie ques:

I think it's a grease fitting port inside the part where the inner tire rod attaches to the steering rack. Am I mistaken? If not, where do I get that fititng and if so, how does it get greased?

Thanks any and all.

inner tie rod?
well normally you don't grease them except for during assembly. just pack the cavity with grease then ram it on the steering rack, shoves all that grease into the ball socket. i did it four or five times until i started to see grease coming out of the ball socket. then i left it on and tightened it down.

I tried it and it WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!!

Thanks!

The local specialist auto parts store said they had never seen a tie rod end like that before and that usually, it's just thrown away and replaced if the grease dries up for whatever reason....guess these little cars really were ahead of their time.
