Give these guys a try http://www.jimmysautomotiveandcustom.com/ Also try e-bay automotive "replicas" -always a couple on line -- just be careful - replacement panels / tail lights etc getting impossible to find - due to the Ferrari police!

Ebay, maybe Craiglist is the only place now. Pretty sure anyone making anything for them has been closed down. I got mine at the Kitcar/ Fiero show at Carlisle, Pa in late May. I bought it as an unassembled 'used ' kit along with an unused Design One turbo system for it.

There was a guy here in Hamilton, Ontario that was selling a 308 unfinished kit. The problem was it had no ownership papers, the original owner stored the car in his garage and could not afford storage fees, so he took over the car as payment. If you are interested I could ask him if he still has it.

The only visible diff is the bumpers and louvers on the headlites. Most people will never know. I do agree though that those on the 328 are a lot cleaner. Of course If you want an 'authentic' replica, the real Ferrari 308 was first produced as a Fiberglass body...just like the kit....

if you want a kit or replica that looks like the real mccoy... find a stinger 308 kit. a mera is more of a tribute to the 308 more than a dead on replica like the stinger.

I viewed this car yesterday. It has what looked like a small block V8 in front, very little of the fiero left, custom frame and rear wheel drive. the 308 kit was steel, and it has a NO2 kit as well. However, no papers, and whae I asked for the VIN off the two plates he had, he conveniently lost them. Anyway, I walked away. The price was too good to be true ($1K), but I really don't want to get mixed up with car parts of dubious providence. To regsiter your kit car you need to show where it all comes from anyway, so without a check of the VIN it is going to be really hard to get legal.
Anyway, the seller told me a buyer came today and took it away ...

Metal kit is a def find. That would be great to work with. In Ohio anyway, getting a title for it is no real problem. You just claim your building it from scratch with different parts and get a 'Constructed Car ' title. I did that in Oklahoma too on a dune buggy I built, titled it as ' Homebuilt '. Check with your DMV to see the options.

Here's a link to what the Stinger looks like. If you can find one, they're more authentic looking than the Mera and Mera clones, though both are nice. www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/083063.html
