Has anyone did this? Is there any difference in performance? I am wondering if it is worth the time and money. I would be interested in before and after results.

Worth it if you have supporting MODs to go with it..You can find Gen 3 P/P cases all over CGP for a decent price.....

Yes, you should open up the inlet when going to a larger TB (like a N*) . On the bottom side I cleaned up the V outlets a little, mostly smoothing the shape and casting flash removal.
When going with an intercooler, I had the bottom side of the SC housing machined, its mainly removal of a rib and matching surface to the intercooler stack, I also had the LIM machined to match the other side of the IC core...so different mods may have a different approach and consequences...I just did what I found reading on the net, and what made most sense

Outlet porting a gen3 is a pretty big area to see improvements at. There are some bolt bosses that sit cleanly in the outlet area, which can easily be removed and gain up to 7% more outlet cross sectional area. You can also port the end of the rotor pack by the outlet to increase the ability for the air to fly laterally out of the rotor pack.

Opening the inlet is also a good practice, easily increasing efficiency.

Well, for 200 clams I purchased a "professionally" ported M90. I searched the net and found some pictures of ported M90's and when I went to look it appeared the same. It is definitely ported but I know so little about these chargers I just took a chance.

As long as the bottom V shaped outlet is not "hogged out" and the porting has been done to smooth and clean up the inlet and outlet you should be OK. You might consider adding the 3.4" pulley now and possibly the 75 mm N* TB.. With those mods the ZZP SSIC is a recommended mod that will help you make more horsepower safely. You WILL notice the difference.

Contact Dave at www.TripleEdgePerformance.com for a N* throttle body adaptor. That is where I got mine and had my supercharger porting done. Great guy.
