Don't buy it. Hypetech promises a lot and usually does not deliver or can even make your car perform worse.

My truck had a Hypercrap chip in it when I bought it from the previous owner. He never told me the chip was in it. When I pulled the ECU one day and saw it, I removed it. Power immediately increased as well as my fuel milage.

Send me a chip and I'll burn it for you for free. I bought mine like in 89 or 90 when we didn't know better. I have it somewhere and I saved the BIN with my programmer.

I know a lot of people have beaten down the Hypertech chip but my experience has been excellent. I been runnining it for several years with no problems. I do have a slightly modded engine. Bored out throttle body & Intake by Darayl Moorse "spelling?", Rodney Dickman cold air intake complete, K&N filter, Bored out exhaust manifolds, and 1.6 rocker arms. The cat , muffler & injectors are original stock. Each of these will make a difference but when I temporarly put the stock chip back in the performance was awfull dispite the mods.

So maybe the H-chip wont make a difference unless you do some modding to help it out. I know mine gets up to speed in a real hurry with the H-chip. (86 SE 4spd 2.8)
