I posted part of this in my Construction Zone Build Thread but I thought many of you would like this little tip. Since the only alternative for a broken EGR tube is to fork pout $100 to the Fiero Store I came up with a solution that cost $1.91.

At first I tried just using JB weld but it cracked when I tightened the nuts. So I took the base to the Home Depot and found this; A 3/8" brass coupler. It is a perfect fit and won't contribute to electrolysis or succumb to the heat. It screws right in and is rock solid even without any adhesive. Still, I will plaster it in a new coating of JB weld to seal it from vacuum leaks and the extra length will help relieve stress on the tube so it should last a good long time.

Cool!

It also looks like it may give the pre-88 tubes enough length to fit on 88's. Good call!

If it doesn't, there were other 3/8" couplers that were a bit longer! I'll have to try that.
