I was recently approved for disability, and I just became a Father for the 1st time, so I took some of the money from the 1st check I got (back-dated payments) and went looking for a 4-door car so I had a more kid-friendly car to drive My Son around in when needed. I haven't gotten to drive My Fiero lately as it is currently in My garage on jack stands, I'm making some repairs/replacing parts and doing some preventative maintenance. I recently bought a 1994 Acura Vigor w/86000mi......never even heard of the model until I bought it, of course They only made 32,000 from 1992-1994. This car has a longitudinally mounted 2.5-liter/152 cu.in PGM-FI SOHC 20-valve 30deg slant mount inline 5-Cylinder motor that put out 176hp with a torque of 170 from the factory. Acura decided to make a midsize 4-door luxury sedan and They even gave it some sportiness, this car is a blast to drive. It rides nice and handles the road well, and throws You back in the seat if You stomp on the gas pedal...which I have been trying really hard not to do..; ) While I'm making those repairs on what was My daily driver, I'm driving around in My Vigor that's fully loaded/all power, with nice leather interior, listening to a factory 8-speaker stereo system....but it's a 4spd automatic, instead of the 5spd manual version. Just curious if anyone has thought about this swap, tried this swap, or if it is even possible.

no, if you want to do a random swap like this, go ahead, but your going to have fun trying to adapt everything from honda to GM.

You will need to adapt

axles
gauges (4-5 at least)
fan controls
mounts
transmission
shifter
shifter links
clutch hydrolics
clutch pedal master
clutch pedal slave
Starter
and a full wiring harness

Any other GM motor swap will require nearly none of these things.

Without taking measurements, I would assume that an inline 5 cylinder would be too long to fit into a transverse setup in a Fiero. Even the V8 crowd that is only 4 cylinders long have some trouble along the passenger wheel well and frame rail.
