I have made a holder that fits the opening where our oil and voltage gauges presently are. The gauges are 2 and a 16th inches in diameter. There is room for three. When I took the Fiero gauges out there are four or five wires.Could someone tell me what color each one is? Also the gauges require a sender. Why or how does the Fiero gauge work without one? Thanks in advance. Cliff

here is a link

I asked this a few monthsa back, PaulCal led me to that site, thanks again.

The fiero gauges do use a sender, you have the oil pressure gauge that uses the oil sender on the engien, and the Volt meter just monitors the cars voltage through thw wiring. Also you should know that you need the wire a bulb in the "alt lamp" location to allow the alternator to charge, if the bulbs not wired in, you will have a dead car in no time.

If you don't know, you have to use the sender that comes with your aftermarket gauges, the Fiero sender will not work. The volt meter just need a 12V source to work.

Here is a pic of my setup

Thank you!
exactly how I have mine placed except they are digital. Is the tubing long enough that usually comes with the gauges or did you have to get it longer because of the engine location. Where did you run it thru?

I have to admit , I like yours better. I had these gauges on another car. Yours would be easier to read in bright sunlight

Thanks for the compliment.

It depends on what gauges you are installing, if you have a boost gauge, then no the tubing was not long enough, I had to use 2 and splice them together. Any other gauge should just use a sender at the engine, and a wire that runs to the gauge. I have a 3800SC engine in my car, so I pulled out the main harness that runs through the fire wall and I have plenty of room to run the extra tubing.
