Im looking for ideas for my interior mods that will be coming up within the next 2-4 months.

Not stealing ideas, just getting my creativity drive thinkin...

Im looking ideas ranging from:
sound systems
center console mods (excluding the sub box)
dash (firebird dash pix incouraged)
even down to the A pillar pods

You name it, If its an interior mod, Id like to see pix (even an explanation of tyhings if you'd like to take the time)

I'll be fabricating a whole interior even down to the.... (well, you'll see )

Thanx in advance for the creativity thinking help...

Stuart...How's it going on your interior swap, or did it get set aside? You know you shouldn't link to Harold's interior swap, people will think you did it.

Why not I host the pics. And he's out of the game right now. It's a beutiful interior and should be shown off. By the way, I wired it and built the speaker boxes for it too. As far as mine..... New house new car new garage new Baby, new fiero. That interior got post poned until life slowed down some. To many things happening at once. Garage is almost done though so I should get started on it soon

I might as well look at the interior, I can't see out of the windshield.

Stuart...Just messing with you. I know you and Harold worked hard on it, and it deserves to be seen.

clean the horn button with soapy water and an old toothbrush, let dry.
get a little bottle of testors acrylic model paint in your favorite color (this is "A7 gloss insignia red"), and a fine brush. "flow" the paint into the low areas. go slow. it takes a steady hand, rest the heel of your hand on the table, use your fingers to control the brush. before it dries, go over it lightly with a damp cloth to remove any sloppiness.
i considered painting the little horn symbol too, what do you think?

Here's an interior using a 1992 Saab 9000 CD Turbo dash that looks like it has some real potential. These pics are from a kitcar that I saw on eBay, so I don't know anything more than this ...

I think painting the horn symbol will make you the first person to do so. You should do it in white.

The Saab dash looks really nice, but if you look closely you'll notice the instrument cluster is off center from the steering wheel. That would drive me nuts... I know because I was working on just about the same dash and everytime I would drive the car and see it did not line up, it just drove me nuts.

I'll post some pics a minute of the ZR2 dash I'm working on.

I'm totally chaning the interior from tan to gray, headliner is done, I recoverd the sun visors. I purchased the un-upholstered ZR2 dash from Pisa which I just finished covering for the most part. As you can see I've still got to install the speaker/cover, defroster grill, and facing of the dash for the instrument cluster and radio area. So as you can see this is a work in progress.

Because I was able to keep the same instrument cluster (only updated with reverse glow faces and 120 mph speedo) and same setup for the AC/Radio, I'll be able to use the same face plates. I also updated the radio from a late model Pontiac from eBay. What a difference that makes in a stock sound system.

I'll post more pics when I'm finished. Perhaps even do a write up.

This makes me sad when I think of how nice that dash would have been and now after Katrina it's ruined. Are you planning to do it all over again?
