On the back of my Fiero my tires are way bald and i have a pair of 245/60/14's lying around that are in great condition. Would these fit on my 85 GT? Wheels, suspension, and everything else is stock. Thanks

Assuming you have a stock (or similar) suspension, then they should fit. But once you get them on the car, you'll be itching to get them back off. I speak from personal experience.

Those tires will be dangerous to drive on.They are too wide for the application. Even the stock 215-60-14s were pushing the limit.

The 245/60s are so wide that the sidewalls will roll over easily. The rear end will be pretty sloppy in turns. And on wet roads, it'll be really tail-happy.

If you only plan on using the tires for a couple weeks or so, and drive carefully, you should be OK.

all these statements of course are assuming the stock rims...

personally I had 225/60/14's on my 2nd fiero and loved them - some of the best tires i ever had

Hmmmm I have 245-50-15's on stock rims and LOVE the handling. It's awesome to ride the corvette's tail in a clover

We're talking about 14" not 15" - big difference.

I believe that 245's require a 7" rim as a min, Stock Fiero Rims are only 6". 235's are as wide as you can go with stock 14" rims

I have a set of stock 14" rims with 245/60 tires on them. They're only for temporary use. Definately not a tire I would drive around on daily. They do fit, on the rear anyway.
