Just wanted to know if '88 V-6 engines are different from other year Fiero V-6's.
Will dist., coil, intake, and exhaust parts fit from year to year?
Thanks

The parts that are different from a 88 to any earlier year huh. Well the crank and flywheel are different than earlier years and cannot be interchanged. The alternator and oil sending unit is different on an 88 than earlier years. The y pipe and egr tube is different on an 88. The intake and exhaust manifolds are the same. Pretty much any of theses can be swapped with an earlier year except the flywheel and crank. The engine bracket is different for an 88 and you'd need a 85-87 one for an earlier model. Hope this is a start to what your needing.

I don't believe it is. I'm pretty sure all years of the Fiero V6 use the same distributor.

Why? Is there some specific part you're worried about?

In any case I've got a '88 motor I'm rebuilding for my '86 Fiero and I expect to be able to use the '86 distributor when it's done. I've never seen any difference specified in any parts books for any year-based differences in V6 ignition systems.

It is the same for all years with the V-6, very easy to rebuild also.
