Today I installed a EGR Tube and EGR Valve on my car (the old tube was cracked)
before changing the tubes I had a high idle-around 1400 rpms in park, and it would
drop to 900-1000rpms in gear. (auto)

After changing the EGR tube/EGR Valve, I now have a 1500-1600 rpm's idle and around
900-1000rpm's in gear???

I did remove the upper plenum to get to the tube, I was careful with all the vacuum lines, and made sure eveything was re-connected.

While having the intake off, I cleaned out all the carbon build up. (Alot!!) the vac lines that connect to the intake manifold were plugged pretty good.

Also, My car is running hotter now... the temp gauge before read 180-190 degees the change now it's reading around 210 degrees?

What might cause this ?? (high ilde)

Will the computer have to re-learn something??

Help.........:-)
UP-DATE
I did run out to the car and unplug the battery-
took it for a easy ride -15mins, no change.
I thought the computer would have re-learned?? No Luck! Hmmmm?

Sounds like you still have a vacuum leak. If the car is idling higher than that would explain the extra heat, and higher operating temperature.

Look hard, make sure there are no leaks. Try blowing smoke, get a good cigar, and blow smoke around the tube, and if you see it getting suck up quickly chances are you have a leak somewhere. I use to use WD-40 and spray it around the tube. I could tell by looking at my A/F gauge if it was being sucked up, and also by the engine sound.

Try re-learning the computer. It might've set itself to compensate for the vacuum leak caused by the bad EGR tube.

Unplug the battery for a minute to clear the ECM. And then go driving for 10 minutes, no hard accelerations, just gradual and don't keep a steady speed, vary it.

Check connections at both ends of the tube. If you still have a high idle, then usinga throttle body cleaner spray, remove the rubber TB connector and spray TB cleaner into the TB as you have a friend vary the speed for about 20 seconds. Also, remove the IAC from the side of the throttle body and clean the IAC and the bore it came out of.

If you are still idling too fast, then check all of your vacuum lines, hoses and ultimately your TB itself. Check to see that nobody has turned the idle screw which is the size of a small pencil and SHOULD be covered over with a small round plug. You can remove this with no problems. Good luck.
