1SLO2M6 has spent many late nights re-assembling his car.. he and I worked out a valve problem and get her started last night... IT'S MEAN!!
112*, 448intake, 512 exhaust.. it seriously sounds like a harley.. -potato - potato- we haven't put the wheels on it to drive it to see if their is any vacuum for the braking system.. that'll happen once the suspension is completed.
can't wait to get the Power tuner on it and have her strapped down to the dyno!

OH OH .. i got a bike too!!! a Suzuki SV650s... it's fast too!

he and I both ground and filed and banged.. and ripped perfectly good gaskets.. oh well it's just a tree... paper gaskets are crap. the TB will be a larger unit but not a stock holley one. we have a 64mm focus unit that we are going to figure out. we have also toyed with the idea of cutting the top of the pelenum and mounting it on the center of the pelenum with a hood scoop (like mine) for more air at 60% throttle and up... we kinda chickened out but now that it runs we'll get back on task... stupid fast stock block or blown up... either or it's worth the trouble! just casue so many claim the 2.8s are fragile crap... this will be the 4th one i've messaged balls to the wall and hopefully the 4th one to not grenade. we'll see.

Never heard an exhaust note referred to at "potato", but that's exactly what a Harley sounds like if you say it out loud.
Need to get someone to host that sound clip. Lots of people are going to want to hear it, myself included.

Hey hey, looks like this is where I'm needed. E-mail me whatever you want uploaded at webmaster@teamcaf.org and I'll put it on my site for you - mpeg, wav, mp3, and pictures - anything. I have a lot of unused data transfer and what better way to use it than host Fiero files?
Cliff's notes: I can host your files.. e-mail them to webmaster@teamcaf.org
P.S. it would be nice of you to give me a link to this thread so I can do it faster. Thanks! -Adam

Rockin, yea Ive spent most of all my free time on this project and it looks like its gonna pay off. Now I just gotta get all my polly bushings up front (already finished in back), coil overs to go in back, spindles in the front with konis, then its off to the dyno to test and tune hopefully all will turn out for the best...
Oh and I have LOADS of pics that I need to get developed and posted. I will try to get that done before the end of this week

Friggin awesome. I'm jealous! It has a bigger cam than my 3.2L! I would like a copy of that sound file. Fiero_fun_84@yahoo.com
Hey Trav. I'm going to be buying the Dynoutner unit here soon, and am also installing a turbocharger to the 3.2L this winter. I'll have to make arrangments to come down there for a weekend and get it dynoed in the spring.

gtsonly.. that cam thats in it now.. it's running 19# injectors with a BONE stock bottom end and factory ECM and E-prom (for now) we'll dyno it like it is then tweak it to the edge.
stay tuned for the cammin beast 2.8.

You'll have enough vacuum for the brakes. I just put a little bigger cam in my race car (.519 intake, .526, exhaust, 106* lobe seperation) and the brakes work fine. Doesn't idle worth a damn, though. Time to start computer tweaking...
thast sick!!!!!!! in a good way, i was all excited with my 4.23 4.23 cam, but now i want to go bigger, maybe the ......4.73 4.58 and ya i as well want to know how it idles, and what rpm range that is set up for. and estimated output, cause i can get cams cheap, so... i'm thinking of doing it again. thanks

needed more spark to light the hella air it's gettin now... Crane PS91 coil.. (or Mustang 5.0 coil..) same thing.. 60,000 volts either way. notice the intake bolt change! and mysterious lack of vacuum hoses.

stock engine management now.. once the wheels go on and the exhaust is reworked the www.dynotuner.net Power Tuner will be tossed on to cut some of the fuel and to try to make it idle at anything less than the current 1800+
