What's involved in swapping from a sunroof to a solid roof? Is it more than just a new headliner and roof panel? If so, what else is there? I rarely use my sunroof and refuse to drive around with it out (long story) and Bill Osmer gave me some ideas about what to do to the interior roof.

The real question is how to do it without breaking anything. I managed to shatter my windshield, luckily I had an extra. They glue them in pretty good.

I don't have the sun roof in my GT and really miss it. Gotta get my coupe running for those nice sunning days with the roof off.
Thought about doing the swamp also, rust have to find a new roof with it and swamp. Plus the cash to do it, cause my windshield could use replacing also.

Most glass shops have that trim or something very close. I'm told there is one that is a little wider that covers better.
Hey Orge , There's a glass business about a mile from my house . I know they run one of there trucks just for auto glass , I'll check with them this week .
Thanks for the information .

When I had my new windshield installed, they put new trim in. I had my choice of the original trim, or the wider stuff. They tried to push the wider stuff on me..told me that it would cover the gap better, and so there'd be less chance of leakage. However, it was noticeably wider than the original, so I told them that I wanted it to look as original as possible, and so I wanted the OEM stuff. Some of the places I got an estimate from wanted an extra $12 for the trim, but the place I ended up having do the work included the new trim in the price they quoted me right off the bat.

Get some thin 7/8 dia neoprene washers from the hardware store to replace the crumbling rubber coating that's on the roof attachment bolts. Helps isolate noise and squeaks.
I'm in the process of doing this swap.
I'm finding with mine the roof is slightly higher in the center & lower at the outboard edges at the rear clip, and also appears to be higher at the top of the windshield. I'm going to be "milling" the rest pads a mill or two and adding spacers where needed to get it to line up perfectly.
