You and your fieros, people, the fiero is a crappy ASS CAR!!!!!. the toyota MR2 sells on average for x2 the price....what does this mean? the toyota mr2 actually had some good engineering behind it unlike the FIero....
They didn't stop producing fiero because they were such a wonderful car.
Fieros are not very parctical, not very good looking unless you get $50 wheel covers. Overall they are a crappy car.
No offense to all you fiero owners, fiero is a decent car. Fun to drive. But face it, you can get a good, not decent, better then average fiero for 3k canadian, 2k american. Price has something to say......horrible maintance.....expensive parts......crap quality. I personally don't have time to be spending time under a crappy ass car. another thing I noticed in the thread "people of the people behind the cars or whatever" is how ugly fiero owners are
the bottom line is you drive a crappy little car ...you are a loser who can't afford a real sports car.....you all ***** too much, the fiero ins't perfect but you think it is. you just have to face it..........I drive a better car, I got a hot ***** and on top of that I ain't ugly like you ......hahhaha
So, Dude, all I can say is that I have no idea what is wrong with your car.... it's too bad you're too dam cheap to take to a real service center.
I'd suggest you go out and buy a motorcycle.... get a real fast one..... Don't bother to buy a "Brain Bucket" (Helmet) 'cuz you don't have anything to put in it anyway.
Wish I could help.

"So, Dude, all I can say is that I have no idea what is wrong with your car.... it's too bad you're too dam cheap to take to a real service center. " Quoted form Archie.... That was ummm mean. He asked a simple question in the TECHNICAL DISCUSSION. Yes I know he has been an ass on more than one occasion. But I see nothing wrong with that question. So should we ALL goto a svc station instead of asking here? I think not.
Probably due to the fact that you don’t care about the car. Check your oil, is it low? Thought so, it is probably due to not changing it in the last two years and is just too thin. Probably squirting right past the rings and out the valves. Pull one of those 17 year old spark plugs and see if it is covered in oil. Also is the oil on the inside of the pipe or the out side? If it is on the outside it is probably due to the oil filter seals that have been left on and are stacked so high that you probably could not thread a new filter on. The old seals are allowing oil to spray out between the layers. Your best bet is to put Nitrous on it. Make sure you don’t shift till you hit 7000 rpms every time and what ever you do don’t ever change your air filter.
Just pulling your leg.
Ok I don’t know what is wrong with your car, it is probably rings. Pull the plugs and if you have oil on them it is “RINGS”. If you pull the plugs and only one has oil on it you could have had something get into the cylinder and break a ring or valve causing it to leak. Either way you are looking at some rebuild time. Good luck and don’t give up the Fiero is a good car if you put an effort in to it. But watch out you will start to like them and the next thing you know……. See sig.

Awww, your Fiero's spitting "gas or oil? or something"
Cool. Sounds like internal engine problems. Best news I've heard all day, you useless waste of air.
But you should really try to learn the difference between gas and oil. Get a big can of each and hold a lit match over both cans. The one that blows your stupid butt off is gas. The other one is oil.

Oil level is good.....I guess it just needs a tune up...haven't checked anything else since I bought it ( 7,000km ago ). And as for the statement "you don't take care of you car" - some of us have lives.....I don't want to spend my saturdays check spark plugs
Dude I was just pulling your leg, but pull the plugs there are only 4 of them. Any way hope you find out what it is and don’t get raped so bad getting it fixed that you give up. Good Luck.

THE CAR IS 15 YEARS OLD YOU STUPID SH1T! Of course stuff will go wrong, AND YES it will cost you more than $500. You really are stupid!
just sell the damn thing, we don't wanna hear about it anymore.
If you don't wanna ever service your car don't buy one that's 15 years OLD! Get out your checkbook and you will get a car that doesn't break as much....
Out of all the $1500 beaters you can buy, the fiero is one of the most reliable i've ever owned.

Is it oily, ie. feels slick when you rub it between your fingers? If not, it could just be water (condensation) mixing with the soot in your exhaust. That's normal, especially in the first few minutes after start up. Check your oil and coolant levels. If they are normal and you're getting reasonable gas mileage, it's probably just condensation.
maryjane's reference to pm meant to check your Personal Messages (back on the main screen).
Do you guys giving him a hard time realize you are on the same side as yo_sweet (aka schism above) now???

So let me get this straight, You've driven the car 7000km (over 4300 miles) and haven't done an oil changes or tune-up?? Preventative maintanence on ANY used car is how you keep it lasting many years. We have lives, it's just we're smart enough to spend a few hours a month and a little money to make sure everything is working fine on our cars so we don't spend days and large amounts of money trying to fix it when it goes bad from neglect. Even new cars need their oil changed and things checked.
Maybe if you spent some time to take care of the car instead of creating BS threads you might make it last until you graduate from the university.
Oh wait, I forgot Your life IS creating BS threads and Pizza Hut.

If the exhaust spits out a little black water at start-up, this is normal. This is caused by a couple things.
First of all, when the engine is cold, it runs a little rich, i.e. consumes more gasoline than when warm. This causes some unburned gasoline to go out the exhaust.
Second of all, water collects in the muffler. Usually not much water collects there, but enough to be thrown out the exhaust when the engine is started up. After the muffler warms up, the water will evaporate out. It usually takes about 15-20 minutes for the water to evaporate out. Because of this, it's a good idea to drive the car for at least 15-20 minutes to evaporate that water out. Short 5-10 minute drives will leave water in the muffler and cause it to rust prematurely.
So there ya go.
