A couple years ago I took some springs into a race shop to have them measured. I brought in the front and rear springs from an '88 Formula (front was ARD, rear was PUC). I also brought in the front and rear springs from an '85 GT. I don't recall the codes for those springs.
The front springs for both cars were 175 lb / in.
The rear spring for the Formula was 100 lb / in.
The rear spring for the '85 GT was too wide to fit in the spring rate checker. I did some measurements with a bathroom scale and a tape measure and it looked to be the same as the '88 rear spring.
That doesn't answer your question directly, but your '86 GT rates are probably pretty close.
Note that these rates are lighter than the rates printed in the MVMA book. I believe my numbers instead of the book because I had the springs measured. You can believe whatever you want.
