I ordered the cyberdyne speedo gauge for my 86 Northstar Fiero GT. Has anyone used this gauge before? Any horror stories I should know about? How do you like them? It is a digital gauge that also gives a read out of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times as well as an odometer. I'm getting the KM/HR version because I'm in Canada, but it is essentially the same as the Miles/HR. If I like it I'll change all of them over. I've only seen one other car with the complete gauge cluster. They say it will work with the stock Cadillac sending unit. Thanks guys!
I got them through a friend of mine, but I believe they are in the Jegs catalog. They have a complete line of speedo, tach, oil, water, boost, amps ect. Looks cool too.

I used the Cyberdyne liquid crystal gauge panel in the Lamborghini. It was extremely hard to read during the day when the sun was out. The water temp guage (using the cyberdyne sender) was very glitchy/jumpy. The odometer reset about three times within the year that I owned the car. It never got more than about 3000 miles on it. I finally ran shielded cable and that seemed to fix the problem.
John, I'd love to see photos of your Testarossa spyder!! If you have some could you post them or e-mail me some? Thanks for the advice about shielding the cables, I'll do that off the bat!
Jay, My guages came with a nice sheilded cable, but I thought it would just be easier to use the original Fiero VSS wires. Big mistake. I ended up having to run the sheided cable anyway after the car was complete and much harder to work on.
there are 3 kinds of digital displays.. LCD, VFD and LED.. technically you can use an LCD screen to display a fake analog speedo etc, but it's still a digital image.
