Door strap - confused need help by ponya

Need to change lower door strap body side on the drivers door. Went to Pontiac and ordered the strap. When the part arrived there was only one hole drilled into the metal. When I got home, I noticed that the strap that was to be replaced had two holes. One from Door into body and one from body thru strap. I went to the P22 parts book and that shows the strap with only one hole, like the one that Pontiac sold me. The service manual shows it as two holes. I just don't understand it. Is there anyone who can help me out. I have a strap that is identical to the one installed only missing a hole. Any help greatly appreciated. Bob

Sorry everyone, I mean the door hinge. In the parts manual its called a strap. Guess I got caught up in GM vernacular. Its the drivers side, body lower door hinge. Sorry, Bob
