Moving sale! Send me offers.
Also interested in some trades, let me know what you have. NA Miatas and wagons to the front. Must be manual.
Original listing:
Price is OBO! Cash only. Fun car but I just don't have the time for it like I used to.
1988 Fiero Cadillac 4.9 v8 swap, 5 speed manual. Runs great, pulls hard. Mileage is exempt due to the swap. It has received a LOT (and I mean a LOT) of new parts and work done since I've owned it. I've added pictures with the full list of parts. I also have all the paperwork from myself, the original owner and the previous owner who I bought it from, including on the swap which was done by a shop in the early 2000's.
Manual Steering, decklid and mirror control, but power locks, and windows.
Yes, it does still have the trunk, and yes the AC does work!
A few cons:
- Oil pressure drops to zero on a hot idle. Comes back up to normal when driving. Could be sender/gauge, or could be pump/pickup/bearings. - There are flakes in the coolant. I've been trying to figure out where they have been coming from but I can't tell. I just run it without a thermostat and it's been fine. - Has a choppy idle sometimes. I believe it's timing related but I haven't done a deep dive. - Cosmetics but it looks fine from 5 feet. - Needs an alignment. A little shaky at higher speeds. - One of the axle boots tore on my last drive and sprayed the grease out. Due to this, I do not recommend driving it home. - Oil pan gasket leak. Very minimal, level is still full
I would consider it a project car but it does run, drive, and stop just fine.
Also comes with tons of parts, including a (nearly) full 6 speed swap kit, and an Allante intake setup.
Let me know if you have any questions. My availability is sporadic, so any viewings will need to be scheduled.

Very nice Fiero. The 4.9L has 275 ft lbs of torque and 200 HP. That kind of power will give the driver an experience but the light duty Isuzu raises some questions. I won't comment on value as there are a lot of pluses in this Fiero but I've always viewed swaps as a "matched" system and the potential buyer will probably have to upgrade the transmission. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I agree, I'm a bit disappointed they swapped out the Getrag. But, it's been handling it for the last 20 years with no indication it was ever swapped again, so I guess it's holding up okay so far.
Thank you!
