What is the reason for the bad/salvage title? Is it a flood car?

Was reported as top damage. Hood is scrapped and wing is loose. No water, fire or bad accident damage. Looks like it drove under something. Parking arm or something, will probaly never know... The auction pics looked much better then in person. I was planning on fixing the hood and driving. But the entire car could use a spray and I just don't have time and drive in me no more. Figure at this price someone can part it or make something out of it. My last car was an 88 GT 5spd 32k miles which I color changed to Sebring orange. And like dummy sold shortly later. Boy I wish I never sold it.

Looks like a hole in the right rear of the sunroof. Has it let any water in or have you had it covered? Hard to believe any insurance company would total it out just because of the damage to the hood. Even if you had to replace it, I'd think you could get one for a couple hundred bucks. Oh, well. Insurance companies do strange things. I had an '86 GT that got totaled and all it needed was a drivers door and mirror. Bought it back, replaced the door and mirror and drove it another year. Insurance said they would send me a branded title. A year later when I sold it, I still hadn't gotten the branded title. Sucks to be them, I guess, since I bought the car back for 10%.

No hole in the sunroof, lighting or refection's. Should be tempered glass, any damage would shatter the hole panel. No water or wet smell in the car. Insurance totaled most likely to paint cost. Has scratches to the hood, top of quarters, and wing. With paint blending to adjacent panels its pretty much a full paint job and you know what that costs at a body shop @ insurance rate.
