Hey all! I'm hoping someone is either selling or knows of a good place to get a vented hood for an 86. I'm not and likely never will be good at anything fiberglass and I don't really trust myself to cut a hole in my current hood to mount a CTV vent or something.

Are you looking for a front hood? If so one from any year Fiero will work. Now if you are looking for a rear hood or engine deck lid there are 2 versions of those, one fits the Notchbacks (84 to 88) and the other fits the Fastbacks (86-1/2 to 88). This would help in finding exactly what part you need to fit your Fiero before you can look for vented hoods. Add this info to your post and it will help.

I bought mine from a guy angelonearth, but I see the website is down. Maybe for good? Have you checked Archie's?

I did. He has a page for Warber hoods, but there's not really a definitive way to tell if they're still for sale. Suppose I could call him.

Checked. He sells the kit but doesn't make the whole hood anymore. That's a ton of fiberglass work

Paul is still active as far as I know. His website has always been a mess. But I was able to find the Fiero section. You have to type it into the URL directly or do a directed Google index search with "site:https://example.com"
i live not to far from him and have picked up parts in person from him might pop down there and do a welfare check

Archie has also been slow this year, ordered a hatchabak kit from him back in feb and still haven't gotten it :/
As for the fiberglass work, it's not as much as you'd think. The bondo/body filler is the most annoying part. Buy a good sanding block kit on Amazon if you don't have one already, that is the best advice i can give. I just recently finished my own hood, but I used one of the Paul Angle STM hood vents and a pair of his fender vents to boot.
Paul's website has always been janky to navigate, so here is the direct link https://angelonearth.net/customfiberglass/------------------ Phillip K Dillard

Holy HTML, Batman! Looking at the instructions certainly looks less difficult than I imagined it would be. But man. I know I'll find a way to goof it up. Maybe I should go to the junkyard and get a spare hood to cut holes in....
