GT fastback taillight assemblies soon to be available (Page 1/1) gtoformula DEC 04, 05:31 PM I am currently working on the restoration of a set of GT taillights. These will be the entire assembles, so they will be ready to install ... just plug in your lighting sockets. Currently, I am involved with a few other projects, and not rushing these to completion. I'm just waiting for a good weather day to do the painting process. So far, they have been disassembled/cleaned, the internal lenses polished, the inner reflective areas of the housings have been sprayed with chrome paint. After I have them finished I will post them with pricing. I have included a link below that details my process. No, I am still with the same wife ... it will be 50 years this coming August. I have never done anything with the electrical aspect of these lenses, but assume that the stock bulbs could be replaced with LED equivalents. I do not manufacture any of the taillight componets ... just recondition them. Primarily the delamination issue, but I do some repair to cracks and also repair some small "voids" in the lenses from severe cracking. I used a very thin viscosity super glue to repair the cracks and also to seal the clear portion of the lenses to the black plastic framing. This bonds them together to reduce the chance of future cracking. Ths current set of taillights were pretty rough with a few large cracks and very bad delamination, but other than a couple of telltale signs they will look almost like new. quote Originally posted by cliffw: Hmm, did you get another Wife, .
