Just something I saw on ebay...
item number... 196139608066
It is a modified 4.1 intake so that a spreadbore type carburetor can be mounted, like a quadrajet 4 barrel.
It will also fit the 4.9 if you use the 4.1 valve covers.

Be careful. The 4.1 and 4.9 heads have differently shaped coolant passages. It can probably be made to work, but it's kind of... sketchy.

The 4.9 thermostat housing definitely won't work, and I don't see mounting provisions for the alternator.

Yes, I just realized its for a rear wheel drive Cadillac..
The thermostat would be mounted in front. The alternator and pulleys would have to be arranged differently if used on FWD or a Fiero.

I don't believe the 4.1/4.5/4.9 was ever used in a RWD configuration.

The 4.1 (HT4100) was used in a longitudinal config with a TH325, in an Eldorado. Not quite RWD but still...[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 02-03-2024).]
