Trunk lid torsion springs (Page 1/2)
seajai MAY 20, 08:56 AM
I have a pair of torsion springs from my 88 GT project I no longer need. They are sized for a lid with a wing. Not sure of the demand or value of such an item, I just hate throwing out good parts, so make me an offer. I think shipping should be under $20.

Condition? Pic?

They are in good condition and still plenty strong, I had to cut off my hinge boxes to make room for my engine which is why I no longer need them. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Any chance these springs are still available? Thanks! John

I know this may sound strange but I THINK I may need a pair of these for an 85 winged notch decklid. Mine doesn't pop up when unlocked I have to lift it. I don't know if I just need pins or what??? I DO know that I need a local fiero guru, someone who knows and can tell me what exactly
Ill need to make it pop up properly.
I am also setting up to do a 3800sc swap. Do I need to remove the spring boxes for that anyway or no?

you need to check if the pin are in the good adjustment hole there are some topic about that if you search and if you relocate the icm you will not need to cut the box but if you want to let it at factory location then you will need to cut the box if im not wrong

It is probably too late to make an offrer for your trunk torsion rods. However, the day before yesterday my trunk torsion rod (drivers use) assembly simply snapped!😡. Why, I do not know? Is your driver side assembly still for sale?
