I still do not understand. The manifold bolts to the engine.

I see that, it shouldn't be a problem. Is it as straight and crack free as the other one you showed pic of?

Yep, that's certainly the way it is on 100% of Fieros with factory 2.8 installations.

either im extremely lucky with choosing ones that go on the right side or if you have ones with elongated holes from a previous owner doing exhaust gaskets from the top then they are not. the 88 i had was using my 87 GT's trunk side manifold against the firewall and all i did was use all bolts instead of studs since i had broken the studs anyways so as far as i know they bolt up just fine patrick. maybe im wrong but i havent have any issues with them leaking on the y-pipe other than having bent y-pipes from the connections being over tightened over the years and they seal fine against the head in my experience using the fel pro gaskets. again i might be wrong or maybe the 30 fieros ive done exhausts on by throwing the manifolds in a pile and using random manifolds from a mixed bucket of ones i grabbed off of parts cars have all been somehow the exact ones i needed by shear luck since i dont seperate them other than the ones in my garage which was a coincidence since the one with a broken bolt i know for a fact is a firewall side off of a 86

Not possible.

What does that even mean?
You still appear not to get it. Due to the exhaust port spacing, the only way that Fiero exhaust manifolds could be mounted on the "wrong" side is if the manifolds exited towards the water pump end of the engine.
I highly suspect you would've noticed that.
