What's the real life capacity of your tank ? i haven't seen anyone post anything but estimates.

No clue. Car doesn't run and I've never filled it. Quite a bit more over factory. Maybe another 3-4 gallons? I'll find out eventually, I suppose.

I bought one of these tanks at the beginning of last summer. The tank builder only stocks NPT bungs, so I had 3/8" NPT bungs welded at the top and bottom of the tank for send and return lines and I bought the 0-90 ohm marine sender. I ran black braided -8AN lines for both fuel lines. There was a delay with the sender and it took almost two months to get my tank, but I don't fault Joe or his builder for that. I haven't run the car, but I'd say this tank was worth every penny I paid (~$415 or so shipped). Given where I mounted my pump, a Bosch 044 external, I didn't feel the need for a rear sump. Check it.

If you can get a response out of him, you won't be disappointed. |

I've been trying, I'd love to have one built for my car since I want to use a external high flowing pump like I did with my race truck I built back in the 90s

When I fill my tank, it's about a 11 gallon tank. Maybe 11.5 gallons. That's the most I could get out of it. The real reason I purchased it was because my old tank was rusted pretty bad. This will last me a LONG time! ------------------

Best 1/4: 11.7 @ 115mph Best 60ft: 1.60

Are these still available? I had someone ask me about buying one locally.

I am in desperate need of a replacement gas tank for my 87 GT. The one that came with the car was dry and full of loose rust. Are these aluminum tanks still being made by any chance? If so, how can I order one?

They are no longer being produced. I took my tank to a radiator shop and they cleaned it pretty good for $85.
