Hello
I am looking at converting my 3800 from SC to turbo using the M90 (gutted with blockoff plate) and hoping to find a solution for plumbing in the turbo over the transmussion. Did your custom turbo piping work for this? I would consider buying the ZZP p-logs as a start. Do you still do this work, or if not know who does? Thanks.
I am just looking to do a mild turbo build - like 350WHP or so. Keeping the engine mostly stock - already have a VS cam, but that’s about it.
Thanks Dwayne

Hey All! I never did get back into building headers. But I bought a house with a really nice garage where I could definitely do that type of work, the problem is I junked my 3800 and fiero cradle that I used as a build stand so unless I had a good amount of interest it wouldn't be worth it for me to start building these again since I would habe to find another engine, transmission and fiero cradle. That and I would have to charge more to make these custom sets to make it worth my time.. when I was building them before I would put countless hours into a set of headers to only make a very small profit.. So is there enough interest for me to build these things again? Let me know.. Thanks, Mark[/QUOTE]

Adding a turbo is not real difficult IF you can mig weld. Did one a while back but on a 3.4L engine. Purchased the flanged ends that fit on the exhaust manifold, the exhaust pipe, a turbo mounting flange for the cross over then got some mandrel bends and pipe that would get the turbo location set. Did a rough setup connection and then welded the new crossover pipe together. Ran the oil feed line and bolted everything right up. The secret is to use a turbo that will quickly spool up and not hurt the top end, Be prepared to re-program the PCM by modifyimg the MAF table for better fueling. Do it right and your can make good horsepower. Do it wrong and the engine won't last. . ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
