I am at work every day at 7:00 am. When I get off of work, and back home around 2:30pm it is a furnace in my garage. To hot to do much in the way of working on the Coupe. Saturday and Sunday mornings are when I can get a few things done with out suffering heat stroke. I had 100* here today at 3:00pm.
I want to get this back together and running, then maybe remove the 3 speed auto and converet it to an automatic overdrive.
Good luck with your swap. -Joe

I was able to get it all back together this morning, and all of the motor mount studs in the cradle holes. TC spins vary easily by hand threw the starter hole.

and side shot:

Tomorrow's goal is lower intake and distributor.[This message has been edited by josef644 (edited 06-04-2011).]

Motor is looking good! I don't know how you do it with the humidity there. We are pushing 100 degrees here but it is much drier.

The temperature has dropped 20 degrees since 3pm. I went out to the garage and was able to get the three torque converter bolts all started and torqued down to spec. Might be able to work tomorrow afternoon if this cool spell stays for a while.

I painted the lower intake, and the fasteners for it this morning. Same for the distributor hold down. All will get a coat of engine paint, clear before they are put out in the hot Texas sun to bake at 100*. Cleaned the last of my dirty parts from the old 2.8. Lower intake:
 Fasteners:
 Plug Wire protectors:
 More cleaned pieces:

Installed the two valve covers, and cleaned up the middle intake for painting. I want to get this on pretty quick so I can install the injectors and injector rail.

Got my A1 Cardone distributor off the Fedex truck today. Decals from Fiero Thomas yesterday. V6 thermostat housing in real nice shape arrived this week from 'mrfiero' here on PFF.
Middle intake is now painted and ready to install. I have to chase threads in one of the thermostat bolt holes. The bolt came out with some of the threads still in the bolt when I removed the old housing. Easy to do now with the middle intake still off.
I had a friend weld me a stud onto the engine shock mount for the lower AC bracket to fasten to.
Might get some real work done this weekend.[This message has been edited by josef644 (edited 06-14-2011).]
