I'm curious as to how you're going to access the engine compartment with the wagon roof on the car. Will the whole assembly be hinged? It doesn't look like it in the photos...

you will see in tonights pics it is hinged

bubbajoe - I'm really impressed at how quickly you're moving through this project... it's also really great to see people still thinking "outside the box" - or in the case, lengthing and adding a "wagon" top to the box

Keep up the work, and thanks for providing us with your work-in-progress pics!

Ya know... I had the "install a dist the timming cover" idea about a year ago. I did a little research to see if I could find a belt driven distributor. I found one but it was WAY expensive and on top of that, you'd still have to figure a way to turn it.

But, having tought about it a little more (and if I remember correctly), I once had an old Mercury two stroke outboard that had a straight six cylinder motor. It had a short distributer that was turned by a cogged belt from under the flywheel. That may be a good place to look.

The idea reminds me of the fullback Nissan Pulsar. Just before I bought my first Fiero, I was trying to negotiate a deal on a Pulsar NX with fullback option. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Are you going to cut in some side windows to help with the HUGE blind spots? Or, yo could add some small video cameras.

Looking good,
Roy

bubbajoexxx, what thickness metal stock did you use for the extensions? Also, what did you use specifically on the cradle?
