Hey Gang,
I've been tinkering with the interior color scheme. Instead of black carpet, what do you guys think of Torch Red carpet with red on the door panels? Everything else would be black with as few grey highlights. What do you think?

Then again... all red?

HMMMMM... too many ideas...[This message has been edited by Sofa King (edited 01-03-2011).]

The top one looks pretty sharp in my opinion, kind of indyish. If you did the bottom option, I'd make the armrest (and the door handle and area) white as well to match. [This message has been edited by kwagner (edited 01-03-2011).]

LOVE the top one. Looks amazing. You would need some red carpeting to complete the look. MrMike links to some on his site.
The color splash makes it awesome.

As always Greg, your "vision" is inspiring. I like the top one! I got your picks of the Caddy Concept! I really like the interior look - more angular but with a few subtle curves - it fits the XTC very well and you now have me going in a different direction - go figure! It's not the first time you have changed my course! I really need to get my Coupe done so I can dive head first into the XTC.
How did your "fit" problem turn out? Did you get the door panels straightened out?
Thanks for sharing all your ideas and work.
Pat

Hi All,
Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been VERY cold - I guess Winter is officially here. With the holidays, 2 snow storms and a few ice storms, I've had no time to do anything. So everything is in a holding pattern until things warm up a little. It sux! I really want to get it finished and drive the ol girl!

Hi All,
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. First, the Bad... Just this week I was recently laid off from my job. Scary as hell and I really didn't know what I was going to do. The good... well... my company wants me to stay and offered me my same position but at half the salary. In the todays economy I would have been stupid NOT to take it. The Ugly... I have a job, but now I have to move.
So... the Fiero is being put on hold while I move out of the house, try to get settled elsewhere and deal with the overall shock of last weeks events.
Not much to say... I just have to move forward with head held high... But no worries... I'll be back!

That completely sucks! Get your resume out there asap. If you're competing with your former co-workers for full-pay positions, you want to be out there now. Not that you should turn down the half-pay job, it would really suck to give them a head start on landing work only to have your current employer drop you weeks/months down the road. It may also give you some leverage with your current employer if a few weeks down the road you're standing there with a full-pay offer in your hands and they've grown to depend on you.
I have no idea what you do for a living but I've seen similar situations.
Good luck! Hope you can get back on your feet quickly.------------------ Kendall (Icelander) Whitlatch '85 Fiero 2M4 - 5spd Isuzu '88 CJB - EcoTec - In progress '67 LeMans/GTO clone 6.5 litre TH400 - For Sale All the rest aren't Pontiacs, so what does it matter?

Oh oh oh!!! I love the red idea. I'm a huge fan of colored interiors. I like both of your photoshops there, but if you went with the bottom one, you would need a lot more red in the car to pull it off (ie. seat covers, dash, etc.). I do think the first 'shop you did would look great with red carpet in the car and maybe a few dashes of red elsewhere.
Keep up the good work!

Hi All,
After much thought and realization, I'm going to have to sell my 88 Coupe. My present financial situation has forced me to reevaluate and unfortunately the Fiero will have to go. It breaks my heart to have to do it, but I need to be smart and press forward.
It was a fun car, fun build and I met some great people! I'll still be around but I'll be watching from the bleechers for a while.
If you're interested in the car shoot me a PM.
Everybody take care!
