I saw the comments so I figured it was time for an update (unfortunately, nothing dramatic yet). I'm still doing the bodywork... but it's getting closer and closer. One notable step forward was the redesign of the two vents on the engine cover. Originally, they were quite flat with no real definition. I've now reshaped them so they have a more three dimensional appearance.
After the polyester primer (seen on my last post), I spent lots of time sanding with a guide coat. Great for making the imperfections stand out. Most are now sanded down, and corrected with body filler for the bigger ones, or glazing for the smaller ones. I'm now starting to do the finish work on the inner part of the doors, the door jambs, and the sill.

Our Fiero WhatsApp group (Nova Scotia Fieros) has been to Neils house twice. He is very generous and hospitable. His work is impressive in person as well as on line. Way to go Neil. We have some serious talent on PFF ------------------ Astronomy says we will find a coded signal from outer space. Then we'll KNOW that life exists there, for coded signals aren't by chance.
Biology says there are coded genetic signals in every cell, but we KNOW that no intelligence created life.

Time for a quick update.
I'm finally getting towards the end of the bodywork. All the major and minor work has been done. I'll be putting a coat of epoxy sealer on later this week, and then priming. The hood and trunk lid (engine hatch) will also be coming off so that I can finish the back sides. All the gapping has been done so they aren't needed in place any longer. I'll also be test fitting all trim and lighting for a final time. If all goes well, I might have some color on the car soon! ... having said that, I'm painting the car white, with black accents. Not the most exciting color, but certainly one of the most forgiving colors.
Additionally, I'm in the process of 3d printing off a number of interior components. They'll end up being leather wrapped.
This is the steering wheel airbag...

I'm also continuing to source brake components. I'm using an all Wilwood system, which is quite expensive. But it'll look great and perform well. I now have all the required components for the front brakes. I'm using 14" two-piece rotors with four piston calipers. I'll still have to design and build custom brackets.
Here's what $4k (Cdn dollars) gets you... Expensive, but a fraction of the price of carbon composite rotors.

I put a ruler there to try to show the scale. These rotors are huge!!

Hey, Bob!
I'm using a Creality K1 Max. I keep it around 500 mm/s, and usually I just print in PLA+. It's cost effective and easy to work with. My printer seems to be running most of the time.... definitely got my money's worth out of it.

Time for another quick update.... I'm almost making a habit of this.
I've progressed with the body work and reached a point where i decided to put another coat of epoxy sealer. I was hoping to then prime, but I found enough little defects that I'll stop and fix them first.

Finally put a little bit of 2k urethane primer on the car. It's a nice surface for doing the last bits of bodywork... I'll be guide coating this and then sanding down to 600 grit sandpaper in preparation for painting.
