Thanks for visiting Monkeyman !!
I’m still at it just waiting for the transmission to comeback from rebuild. Nothing happens quickly 🙃

In the meantime I’ve Been busy rerouting wiring and cleaning up the engine compartment while the drivetrain is out
After dropping the cradle which would have been fine if it was the stock engine and trans

But because it’s the 3800 drivetrain with different mounting brackets it doesn’t work so we had to put everything back up and drop the while cradle out the bottom, 6 hours to finally removed the drivetrain from the car. After it was split apart I pressure washed the engine and removed everything that I could not tape up and protect from painting.
I removed the valve covers as well as I was replacing the gaskets while the engine is out , way easier than once the drive train is reinstalled.

I can’t remember who mentioned it to me wayyyy back in the beginning of the build that with the size of my grill and the slant of the radiators in the car I would have an overheating problem.
Well I did say at the time that it was the design of the car and I’d deal with it when it became a problem. Well it is a problem it’s not overheating but runs at the top end of normal a couple degrees below which isnt where I want things to be.

So I ripped the front panels off the car

I had a brand new OEM fiero radiator so decided I might as well start with a new one, then I replaced the main fan , a stock fiero 1250 CFM fan and replaced it with a 2650 CFM hp fan.

I then installed a 1800cfm pusher fan on the front of the rad

Then the new trans cooler was mounted and finally I installed a fan on the front of the intercooler.
The unfortunate part of this was I had to remove the ac radiator as there was just not enough airflow with the stack upfront.
I will hopefully revisit this in the future by finding a smaller ac rad or something, but at this point I’m done, I’m leaving all the lines in place to make that a possibility.

I ended up installing pneumatic arm supports for the rear deck , having the drivetrain out certainly made alignment of the pins easier!! I installed the grills to ensure the supports could handle the weight.

Well that’s where we are at.
Thanks for looking

Well after 10 years and way more money than I expected to spend the car is finally done .
I still need to complete the sailplane windows but I’ll do that next spring , I just want to drive and enjoy it for the next couple months while the weather is still decent.
Thanks everyone for following the build though the years😂

What he said.

That's absolutely fantastic. Not even sure what to say. You, sir, are an automotive genius.

10 years. that's some dedication.
