We had lots of thin wall angle iron perfect for rough mocking up wing, Clynt starting to play with size and shape...







It's a start and lots of tweaking yet







Tomorrow Clynt and I are going shopping for proper iron material to fabricate frames, front and rear wings

If I can offer one suggestion, make that splitter out of steel or something. If you don't want the entire front splitter from steel at least make the leading edge of it. We are not talking about a bone splitter hardness, but WAY MORE than fiberglass and foam. I remember the 3 of us having a discussion about the front air splitter we made for my nose. Clynt said Steel frame, I was on the fence about it, and you said the fiberglass would be more than hard enough, so we "I" decided that foam and glass would be good enough. Well the first little tap / nudge I made to a concrete parking block and I put a crack in it. I am a bit worried about going for my 150mph run with it. At 70mph it works amazingly well, even being a bubble top Fiero there is a noticeable difference / improvement in airflow over the car. Don't ask me to explain it, cause I can't but the car just feels more planted, and with the top out, windows down there is considerabley less turbulence around the car.

So please take that into consideration when building your lower wing/ air splitter, we have high parking blocks here, and all it would take is Once, Just Once to forget that its there or not see it and pull up too far and CRUNCH.

just an fyi as sick as this car looks right now not even close to done if ya sell this later on down the road i may or may not make the cross continent trip just to slap ya up side the head with a brick lol great build man this would make a killer kit..... can add this to the list of things i will never get/afford

Thanks, the box is finished in silver, blends nice with hood and fenders


Today Clynt and I went to Metal Supermarket in Langley and got nice rec tube 1.500x .500x.065
and after that stopped to visit Blair at this chocolate shop for a latte.

I am really sorry I could not get out to see you guys today, but Lisa had some medical tests to do, and I doubt Metal Mart would have liked having a 2 year old running around their store. She can be a handful just up at the Chocolate shop. Hopefully you and Clynt are coming to the meeting tomorrow. You did remember the club meeting didn't you. We will have some new Special Prizes to be given away at the meeting. Dr.Fiero has officially closed up the "Fiero Hut" and is donating a few items for the door prizes.

@Exotic are you still on our club email list. If so you can expect a meeting reminder in your inbox, LOL. You could always steel an F16 you could probably make it in time for the meeting. You got 21hrs from the time I am posting this.
