LOL, maybe its a Swedish thing then, my Grandfather immigrated to Canada from Sweden.

Car-Lo: sorry for this, but I just had to...

DOh... Typo lol yes I mean FEMALE. and I did state HER and HER friend....... Just look at the pics of Sharkmans fiero with that model, two of those please OK back to topic.

Car-Lo, How well does that glue you are using stick to the fiero fender? I am curious about after its flexed for awhile I am guessing you used it on the car the last time you did work? I am wondering based on a few things I am working on too maybe it will work for what I am working on ?

All clowns are welcomed, I love those sweds

Add thin layer of Everglass (since it's fiberglass)

Cut out piece to fit roughly in side panel opening and used Pliogrip

A layer of Evercoat over SMC body panels

Sanded down

Angled overlap, ( front will be the opposite )

Is it about Pliogrip, there is a flexible too (bottom pic is not fexible) On RBS1 I used all the wrong materials and it still worked out fine.
Let me know what you'll be using so I can use it too

Oh right now I am using the 3m 8115 glue for the basic bonding like your using that stuff for, I was curious out of finding a cheaper product than the 3m since even with my discount still runs me 35 bucks a tube.
After the first bond I am basically doing it like you are with fiberglass mat and resin but not using ever coat I just add more resin and glass and if I need to build up areas mix in micro balloons with ground up fiberglass that I grind up in a mortar. The other reason I am asking about the areas like on the fenders is the 3m glue does not stay flexible and were I am going to secure the headlight buckets down I want to make some sort of bedded area under it with some sort of glue and throw some plastic wrap over it until it cures making a nice surface to put 2 sided tape on like used in the sail windows. That way I can bond the front clip to the fenders yet have it removable without having to pop off the headlight covers on my new nose build. I will try out some of that flexible pliogrip were did you get it from?

So far the body work looks great!

Clynt used the flexible Pliogrip to widen rear bumper, we get it here at Lordco in BC Canada.
