CA emissions require him to use a trans that came with the engine. N* s only came with autos
It's also why he has the Caddy dashpanel (on the passenger side of his dash)

Yes. It may be said that "It never rains in southern CA" but it can also be said, "It never rains N* manuals in CA either."

Just a little update.

We've been sanding & filling & filling & sanding on the rear fenders working on getting them just right.

We've also also been modifying the "running board" area of the rocker panels to put an angle on them like was described in an earlier post.

We are also working on the scoops in the rockers to reshape them the way Curley wanted them.

Here we have the the rocker with a flat piece of glass at about a 45 degree angle, we'll lay a layer of glass over this then remove the rockers to glass the inside.

Here we have the rockers off & have laid up glass on the insides of the angled area......

Here is some of the filling & sanding we've been working on......

While the rockers are off the car, we are working on the scoops behind the doors........

Here is what they look like before adding more fiberglass.........

Here Rob has made a metal filler panel to lay up some glass against to form the rough scoop opening.......

This is for the outboard lip of the opening.......

This is for the inside lip of the opening......

Here is what it looks like with the glass laid up on it......

We take out the metal, trim the fiberglass from the edges & stick it on the car. Notice the blue filler on the door & fender, while we wait for the glass to sure we continue to fill & sand those areas......

It's kinda hard to see the fiberglass work we did inside the scoop because of the color of the glass, so we put a little white primer on it....

We still plan to do some more shaping on these scoops so we'll show you how they evolve.
