I don't know if that picture exists. Everyone else is always busy doing something - they do not have time to take pics.

I would love to come down to Texas one day, and witness this nothing. You all seem like a very fun group.

Pat, I watched something on the tube the other night about trains. I thought of you when they were testing the tracks for cracks and abnormalities. Pretty important stuff.

Arrrgh, tote that trans....lift that cradle.....no slackers here!!!

Only problem is I am usually chained to my desk at work, so these guys always exceed the Union break limit...

By the way "Frak", where have you been hiding out?

Hope you feel better soon. You have got to go for a ride in the Mera. Plus, I want to see the new wheels on the Vette. Did you see Tom's new Vette yet? It looks familiar for some reason..........

So here's an update. After much deliberation, it looks like the V8 Coup is next on the list for some much needed work. As mentioned, there seems to be a bottom end knock in the 350 so my plan was to pull the car in the garage, drop the pan and inspect the rod bearings and mains. I have also been in the process of rebuilding my 70 Monte Carlo but just can;t seem to get it finished (too many Fiero projects). No matter how hard I work at it, I just can't seem to "finidh" any of my projects. Main reason is becuase I have too many! I have always wanted to do a complete rebuild of the Monte and build a "pro touring" car out of it. The direction I was heading in was just not ever going to accomplish that. I have decided that the Monte will become a long term porject and I will build it the way I want - regardless of how long it takes.

So, the V8 Coupe will be getting the freshly rebuilt 350 for the Monte. I was reluctant to put another motor in this car simply because I could not justify putting a 2500.00 motor into a 2000.00 Fiero - especially when it already has a 2000 mile 350 in it. After the V8 Coupe if insihed and running, I will check out the bottom end of the 350 I take out of the Coupe, repair/rebuild what I need to and put it in my 47 Chevy truck that I will sell once it is up and running.

I will start on the Coupe project this weekend - plan is to drop the 350 out and get it on the cradle stand. I need to do an alternator relocation as it is interferring with the number one spark plug/boot so I will mock it up on the old engine. I will also work on the water pump setup? Not sure exaclty what I am going to do but I do not like the pulley hanging out in the fenderwell. I have an idea using a variable speed electric motor to spin the h2o pump - just have to think it through. I'd also like to upgrade to a 5 speed but I like the "streetability" of the 4 speed? Another thing to think through. Should be a pretty quick turn around. The new motor is ready to go with the exception of the Intake which I can throw on in under 30 minutes.

More to come!
