Wow! Didn't realize how long it's been since I updated. This weekend, I'm hoping to get my mirrors finished, my headlights installed and my fenders, nose, and hood all installed. At least to the point where I can do the fine tuning on them. I still have major surgery to do on the hood by installing a vent. ------------------ Whade' "The Duck Formerly Known As Wade" Duck '87 GT Auto '88 Ferrario '84 Indy

Some updates. Working on getting the nose mounted. Ran into a little snag. When I initially mounted the top part of the nose, the wider fiberglass fenders didn't line up. So I checked everything out by removing the new fenders and reinstalling the old stock fenders. Then everything lined up. So, after reinstalling the new fiberglass fenders, I commenced getting everything to line up. What I found was that the driver's side fender was warped. The passenger side is fine. So Paul (War Hammer) recommended that I clamp the fender in the appropriate position and then hit it with a heat gun. So far, so good. The fender is relaxing under heat. Then, once it cools, it's in a better position than before. I want to go through the heat/cool cycle one more time and then it should be good to go. I also want to add some metal backing along the beltline between the fender and nose to aide alignment and support.

If your still looking for a deep looking blue/black, there is an old painters trick you could use. Paint the car with a black base coat then follow that with about 3 coats of blue candy paint. Follow with clearcoat. It will look black straight on and have blue highlights whenever you get a light reflection thru the paint or the right angle of light on the body.
