You can see from the pics the wheels stick out about 1.5 " ....Way to much. I had just gotten done glassin and finishing in the air ducts and this is just dissapointing. No choice now.......

Put some rubber on these babys....

This is the difference in the front tires.....old 18"....and the new 255 35 19

and the rear..

Now with it off i can repositon it where it needs to be. I settled with 1.25 inchs out in the rear and 1" out in the front of the wheel. It centers the fender more evenly on the wheel. This widebody just got WIDER !!

From the rear shot you can see i cut the air inlet off, but im hoping to salvage it later ...we'll see..

I like the cone idea, how did you keep it stable, they seem like the flex easily.

By the way,

Aligned.....time to get this baby back together.

Started to glass the lower inlet.

added alittle strip to blend to rocker.

Hey Lornes.... yes, your right, they are very flexable. Cut with a holesaw some circles in different sizes and inserted it into the cone. I also suspended it so it would not collapse on itself..... and Thanks

Here, after curing, i tapered it to the rocker

The rear side, clamped into posistion, ready to sand and glass

The inlet i cut , i glassed back in where i wanted it. I can get my hand in the inlet now so i can glass it back together Talk about saving alot of time making these things again !

12" Wide wheel fits in nicely now.

Starting to smooth it out.

As for the top of the lower inlet i was drawing a blank on how to procede. I talked to Archie and he's supplying a set of door caps that i can glass in and bring forward to about the half way part of the door. Then i will remove the rest of the origionally door cap and flatten it out . More to come, for now im on the drivers side.....UNGHHHHHH !!!!!!
