Does this require use of a Monte Carlo bcm when using that dash?

If you do this you really want to get the BCM that has been programmed to the same dash. Most inputs are hardwired but the outputs are data. Im going to sign up for alldata for the monte and download all the specs on the bcm / ecm, and how they relate. The cluster will be wired right back to the bcm as it was origionally and the inputs as well. Im thinking of running the door locks and windows thru it as well for there auto down features. Time will tell.

Here we go, no looking back. 1st Step is to remove the dash, vents, electrical connections, get alittle familiar with how things are and work.

Upon measuring it the Monte dash is about 3" to long and 6" to deep, I cut the forward dash pad from under the dash extension and it fit pretty well. I also cut the dash in half down the center to get it sectioned in where the console is. Trial fit here

The Cluster trim is again about 2" to wide to center on the center console. I sectioned it to move it over and rebond.

Think i like it

2nd half of the dash pad drops in.

Put my temp template back up. Its a quicky with 2" round pvc for the curve. I think its to sharp so im going to redo it with 3" and see.
