Does anyone have contact information for Dan or are in contact with him to find out if he is going to release the CAD drawings?
I am trying to find some place that can make me the adapter plate so I can move forward with this swap.

Hi everyone!

I got busy with work/family/life and the Fiero got stuffed in the garage and covered with kids toys and other garage junk for the last several years.

A few weeks ago I dug the Fiero out of the garage. My plan is to get it back to running condition this spring so I can enjoy it this summer.

I owe you guys some updates. If you PM’ed me over the years, just send another one if you still have questions.

The Fiero ran well. I don’t know how many miles I put on it but overall I think the drivetrain will work.

For the transmission, the weakest part seems to be the 2-3 shift at full throttle. I don’t consider a WOT 2-3 part of normal daily driving which is why I say this will work for most. We did repeated full throttle 2-3 to try to calibrate this shift and I think we were just too abusive on the trans. The transmission still shifts but I am going to pull it to see how it looks.

I have a few body mods and clean up I never got a chance to do so I will be doing that as well. I just need to do my research and see what vendors are still around.

I will keep you guys updated and it is good to be back!

Dan

Glad your back, several Fiero swappers have spoke about your posts and the use of the auto trans w/ LS motor in our cars.

Just a quick update. After driving the car for a few miles, the transmission seems to be fine. I could have sworn it was hurt when I parked it but maybe it was something else. So I can report the LS and 6T seems to be fine. I hope to take this on Power Tour this year so that should be a pretty good test.

More to come…

Hey everyone -

Well I know car projects are never “complete” but this one is pretty close. Mechanically I wouldn’t change a thing. I just completed Power Tour and had a flawless 2,000 miles in 6 days. The car ran great. The LS2 6T75 is a great driveline. You can cruise at 80 MPH around 2000 rpm and sip gas. The paddle shifters and push button shifting was flawless as well.

The interior is stock but clean. I might touch it up a bit but it really doesn’t bother me.

So right now just plan on enjoying the car at local cruise nights, cars and coffee and maybe another power tour. I would like to get to a Fiero event but haven’t had a chance yet.

I had the car wrapped before Power Tour. Here is a pic of the completed car and a roller from Power Tour.

Ok now if i am understanding ths right the GM 6t75 and the Ford 6f55 are almost the same transmission but the ford can take more toeque and it has a starter mounting pad so to me the ford version is the one to start with
