Another round of test fitting using test panel #2. Black trunk lining was added to the upholstery to see how it would look. Switches were added for the SPAL aftermarket power window kit which was installed previously. Manual window crank handles are replaced with round caps.

After 5000+ pull cycles the 5/8" welded steel lever extension performed perfectly. I noticed slight polishing of the clevis pin, but no bending or galling.
I am confident that this is the better alternative than without using an extension. However, a few additional labor hours will add to the fabrication cost.
