Well, that 80% is now 5% as I think I have a better path forward. The intercooler on the left is alittle larger than 6x6 and I think can barely fit right in front of the transmission.


Here is the proposed location. I need to reroute the coolant tube (again) so I can lower it a couple of inches.



What I really like about this location is that it will be largely hidden, expecially when it is painted black. It is barely visible past the hoses, and dropping it down about 2" will further obscure it from view.


The added benefit of this intercooler is that it is "rated" for up to 1200 hp (vs. 600 hp), just like the front mount heat exchanger. Won't be anywhere near that, but keeping the intake charge as cool as possible (and not 250+ degrees) willl help with power.The intake air spending about 12" inside the cooling fins helps get the higher rating.

so I think I have the same heat exchanger on my car, while I don't have thermometers on the in/out for the HX, I also don't think it's performing as well as it should be, my IAT's still tend to climb alot during spirited driving. I was actually planning on going to the junkyard and trying to find a small radiator from an import car or something to replace the HX with.

Mine is the frozen boost type 101. Part of the reason for the fan upgrade is to help pull air through the heat exchanger. Time will tell how well it works.

But compared to 250 degree intake temps, any amount of cooling will help!
