And the $6k to $10k you need to pay for them... rubber must be $700 a strip - at least!

I'm starting to track down someone in Ontario who does dashes - someone at the International Bike SHow this weekend (tried to sell my bike there) told me someone here specialises in dashes for Fieros - will have to track him down. Would love to go with a whole new gauge package and dash.

Will put off doing the lambo style doors until 2008 or later. That is unless supply for reliable doors become available - like the VDC's you have. I've followed that thread - but still don't feel like anyone is ready to go into proper production. I'd only want VDC that were properly tested and guarrantied with a shop that would be willing to stand behind their product with a multi year warranty before I bit that bullet.

Yeah, it would be a crime to not go without new "shoes" on a paint job like that IMO. Do you like the Foose rims? Nice "pop" IMO and are made for the Fiero in 17/18/19 combos. Do you want some "bling" for your dash? Call up the radio bezel guy in Canada and have him engrave the slogan. Archie's making a mold from Troyboy's dash. You'd could later purchase some gauges from Dakota Digital? VDC doors? Franks working on it but some how the Floridian guys are having a hard time getting a Fiero to the shop. It would be nice to have then ready to install while you're in town.

New Shoe's example: Wrong color but...you get the idea. (maybe someone could photo-shop-paint CPU's choptop and blackend the center rims...just for fun?)

Bezel company in Canada. Wrong engine slogan but...you get the idea.

When I said shoes - I meant real shoes!!! The ones I have have holes in the soles! A few newpapers and I should be able to get another 6 months out of them. =8^}

For the dash, I'd want to go with a whole new layout - new backlit gauges etc. I prefer the analog dial gauges to digital - just my own preference. Would also want a red shift indicator at the top of the dash for my trips up the drag strip. I'm just starting the "thought" process - so I'm a long way off yet.

I bet there will be lots of nice rims at D7 for me to view. The TAZ is "understated", although the new paint will change that a little - still don't want anything to be too obvious or way out. Would probably stay with polished or "grey" powdercoated rims instead of chrome. I like the 5 star design of the ROH rims I have - just want more "meat" back there.

As money is very tight I can spend more time dreaming and figurin'....

Thanks for all the positive comments! I dropped by the shop yesterday and they have the bumpers back on and transfered the lines for the stripes to the bumper and the KHines rear lens panel. They should have the bumpers painted today.

The jury is still out on my scoop glass job. Everything looked amazing with my glass job on the scoop until they baked the paint and clear. There is a slight line on one side when you view it up close. I might have to get them to strip the hood and do what they call a "professional job" - but I'll wait until the they say the car "is done"! The shop has spent a ton more time on this job than they wanted to (or that I'm paying for). I suspect if I offer them a few more dollars that they might perk up a little. We'll see.

Sure will be a ton better than running around in body primer - although the flat black battleship (Mad Max) look grew on me over time!

I'm off now to bug'em and hopefully get some more pics to post tomorrow.
