Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk - I own page 5 as well!
It is exciting for sure. The car looks mostly black - but then gets that very dark dried blood red tinge to it.
If the scoop did not have that tinny flaw I've benn hopping and skipping all day!
I still have to inspect everything else when they get the car together - They had not painted the underside of the hoods - and said they'd do it.
I'm a patient type of guy, and can give a pretty good "Evil" eye - if I'm not completely happy.
One thing that work in my favour is that I have paid any money yet - and I'm very well know at the City. His wife works in my department and he wants to do the best job he can...[This message has been edited by DrCPU (edited 01-04-2007).]

Hey Taz - nice paint job! Love the offset 2 width stripes - you've done some real nice work look forward to seeing her in the spring. I may be looking to get mine painted at the end of next year so I'll be interested in hearing your comments about the shop you used.

Dog gone it! You're paint job looks like liquid glass----excellent job! The stripsr....what's the color? It reminds me of RickAddy's GT with a similar strip combo but was placed to one side.
So, D7 seems to be in you're sights.

Thanks for all the kind remarks on the paint!
Curly, I have reservations at La Quinta Inn for myself and my "partner" for D7 - and boss signed off on vacation - so here I come! Whaaa freeekin whoooo!! =8^)
The paint shop is busy with "money" making bumps and paint (insurance jobs) as winter weather starts to set in up here. In retrospect his quote is probably a little low and I the stripes from one end to next have added some labour. I'm pretty high up the food chain where I work - and he knows a ton of people are just waiting to see this - both online and at work. Will mean a lot of business for him to make me smile. His wife also works in the same department and she's real nice and sure wants to make sure I'm happy! She seems more anxious over this than anyone else. I'm not taking advantage of the situation.
The stripe is a simple thin coat of white pearl paint over the base. I think the painter went with two vey quick swipes of the spray gun from a good distance. Clear coat (three coats I think - two minimum) covers everything.
I expect the paint will ready for my first inspection by the end of this week. I've not been pushing them, but show up every second day to check progress. ------------------

I like the painted strips. Very "Ghost-like" IMO and not over the top. Have you picked out any rims for your chopper?

Daddy needs a new pair of shoes first.....
Next on the list is leather seats, visors and door panels (from Mr. Mike). Hopefully just before D7 - if I sell that blasted Harley in the next two weeks.
I'm waiting on Fiero1Fan headlights - and F-I-E-R-O badges. Waiting to hear from both on delivery dates, and waiting for a price on the headlights from Fiero1Fan.
I'm looking over www.hitman.com to see if there are some easy contracts I might take on to be able to afford newer rims and tires - and lambo doors. Just kidding on the hitman part... I think... =8^)
New rims and tires (I have 16"s now - I think) will have to wait until 2008. Won't go to 20" like you guys - but will probably settle for 18"s.
I'm starting to track down someone in Ontario who does dashes - someone at the International Bike SHow this weekend (tried to sell my bike there) told me someone here specialises in dashes for Fieros - will have to track him down. Would love to go with a whole new gauge package and dash.
Will put off doing the lambo style doors until 2008 or later. That is unless supply for reliable doors become available - like the VDC's you have. I've followed that thread - but still don't feel like anyone is ready to go into proper production. I'd only want VDC that were properly tested and guarrantied with a shop that would be willing to stand behind their product with a multi year warranty before I bit that bullet.

I also heard in the news just today that Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz are all looking for new love puppies. Heck I'd do that if they'd pay for the upgrades I want for the TAZ! LOL [This message has been edited by DrCPU (edited 01-08-2007).]
