Agreed, but a reason might be warranted ...because the Caddy & Toronado trannies weigh a ton, and are all automatics! The Porsche is a 5 speed manual and is comparatively light. Oh yeah, and 'cause no one has ever done it like this before [This message has been edited by MinnGreenGT (edited 10-29-2003).]

Nice project. Good luck with it. When I saw the early pic's, I thought it was going to be a pickup, much like the VW pickup

Just out of curiosity, why have you opted for a distributor over an electric ignition? This seems like a perfect place for something like the Megajolt Lite: http://picasso.org/mjlj/index.jsp http://www.bgsoflex.com/mjl/mjl_edis.html To each his own, of course. I'm all for high tech when it comes to engine management. I'd take injection over carburetion anyday! I'm on of those "kids" who thinks carburetors are too complex. Bryce 88 GT

i love the strech on the fiero, the engine looks mean as hell, i dont know if youre still going to use the porsche trany i didnt read all the pages, but just a though the subaru wrx trany has a 6 speed manual and there is a kit to make the internals stronger the whole thing it probably cheaper than the porcshe oh and there is a kit to make it front wheel drive only that way you lose half the trany and the weight with it. some thing to look at. ------------------ mod it until is perfect. http://members.cardomain.com/boricuaso

I never looked at the Fiero as a platform for a station wagon. I will reserve comment on the appearance but I will say that it's certainly an original idea. ------------------ 87GT 3.4 Turbo Best 0-60 5.2 seconds http://www.turbochargerpower.com/turbo.htm
