Just got back from Minneapolis, had a great time (spent all my money and then some). Even got to see a couple fieros at the show! That was pretty awesome. There were 4-5.

Stopped by an O'Reilly and picked up a whole bunch of parts too. Fr/Rr Seville Calipers (11.25") brakes + pads, blazer master cyl, and some new rear hubs. I'm going to see about tearing my old hubs apart and having the flange re-made for 5x114.3. Seems do-able.

Thanks DC, I really love the firebird. I was surprised that I only saw one of them at the show all weekend (and it was a 73 auto)

--- Also had some bad news on my last night away. Cosworth (my dog) was rushed to the puppy ER. They seem to think he has lyme disease. They kept him over night and today, I picked him up this evening and he seemed pretty good. The doctor was amazed that Cosworth took two doses of Morphine and still didn't pass out for over an hour and a half. (She though he'd be out like a light within 10mins after one shot).

If that hood is original to the Firebird it is a Formula 350 not an Esprit. I own a 72 455-HO Trans Am in Lucerne Blue which is the same color as your car.

Naw shes an 350 esprit. The hood is a fiberglass formula replica. I don't have the original hood, but I like this one the most anyway. Got any pictures of your T/A? I think I'm going to keep it blue, but go with a brighter metallic.



They do look really good in this color, especially with some nice wheels. I think I'll put a staggered 17+ combo on it. But I also want to tub it a little bit. I'm thinking of a 335/18 on a 10.5" wheel.

Update...

Got a new tool box!


but this is what I've been working on.. I kinda like this color, so I figured I try it out




And I got my tail pipes all finished up a few weeks ago. Got a few more welds, and cleaning / refitting everything but the exhaust has come out pretty well in my opinion. I just can't wait to hear this beast all finished.

you just motivated me to get started on mine again, just popping out the rodney lowering balljoints and replacing with NOS delcos.
The roads are getting so bad here that I have to jack it up. That and the police inspection truck is a magnet to a lowered fiero.

Awesome! Are you running red faced wheels on your GT? Looks alot like yours I saw the other day. Looking forward to another proper fiero meet one of these days. I better get some more pictures up here soon I guess .

Heres what it looks like now. I just kind of mocked up the calipers to make sure everything cleared, in which it did. I don't think I'm going to paint them though.
